There are a lot of attractions in the surrounding area. The two local towns, Fruges and Hesdin, have everything you need for day to day living including, Banks, Insurance, Supermarkets such as Carrefour, Aldi, Lidl, and others as well as coffee shops, and some very good restaurants. In the village we have a primary school and church. Salle de Fetes with local committee who organise events and functions such as Ducasse and Bastille day celebrations.
Le Touquet and Berk are good seaside resorts and Bologne is not far. For trips to Paris it’s about a 1 hour drive to Arras and then a 50 minute train journey into the centre of Paris.
The area is considered very good for fishing, although neither of us fish. There is a lot of local hunting for game birds, mainly pheasants, but also wild boar and deer. There are plenty of good walks directly from the house and lots of tracks and forest for mountain biking.
The Agincourt Battlefield and Museum are very close and we are not very far from the Somme and other WWI Battlefields. For Agincourt/Azincourt see link below.
Dennlys Parc is a good local attraction. Check the link below.
